Kindergarten & PreK Registration
Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten Registration Dates Set The Secaucus Public School District (SPSD) has scheduled Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten registration dates for the 2015-2016 school year.  Kindergarten registration will be held February 9, 2015 through February 12, 2015.  Pre-Kindergarten registration will be held March 10, 2015 through March 13, 2015. Public notices with detailed information will be advertised in the Home News prior to the registration dates.
 
The SPSD urges parents and guardians to use the on-line pre-registration system available on 
this website. Other residency, occupancy and medical documents will be required at the time of registration.  Printed residency documents will still be available.

The cut off dates to enroll in Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten have been revised for the 2015/2016 school year.  To register for Kindergartenchildren must be five (5) years old on or before October 1, 2015. To register for Pre-Kindergartenchildren must be four (4) years old on or before October 1, 2015. Students will be placed in a.m. or p.m.sessions of Pre-Kindergarten at a later time and based on total enrollment.
Computer Science Education Week
Clarendon Students Get in on the Fun of Coding
Students in Mr. Sommer's Technology classes get in on the fun of coding as part of Computer Science Education Week. Students got to code snowflakes with the ladies of Frozen, Elsa and Anna (http://studio.code.org/s/frozen), Mr. Sommer reports that this is just another day in his computer class as coding is quickly becoming
a popular part of every day.

Honeywell Chooses Secaucus Martinelli-Wurst for Educators in Space Academy
Far out! Michelle Martinelli-Wurst, Clarendon's and Huber's Gifted and Talented teacher has been chosen to participate in Honeywell's prestigious Educators in Space Academy. She was chosen as one of approximately 100 educators from around the globe to take part in exercises that simulate activities as an astronaut serving missions in space.

This coming June, Mrs. Martinelli-Wurst will travel U.S. Space & Rocket Center on the Huntsville campus of the University of Alabama. There she will receive a week of training in aspects of mathematics and science that she will bring back to her students and the entire Secaucus educational community.
