The Secaucus Board of Education honored sisters Gianna and Julia Peschetti at their January 29 Showcase of Success during the Board Meeting.
Seventh grader Gianna Peschetti was highlighted in an article published in the 2015 edition of Exceptional Parent (EParent) Magazine. The article highlighted how Gianna spent five days a week throughout the school year as a sixth grader at Clarendon School in Secaucus volunteering her time, being a mentor and offering assistance to others in her school, which culminated with her being a special friend to her classmates.
Clarendon School Principal Steve Viggiani, Gianna’s principal this past school year, spoke highly of Gianna’s altruism and dedication to making her classmates’ school experiences positive and productive ones.
Gianna’s older sister, Julia, currently a senior at Secaucus High School, was honored for writing the quality article and memorializing her sister’s compassion towards her classmates in the publication.
